Curly's Daily Summary of Savusavu Weather Forecasts/Cyclone Watch!
We are now in the official 2018/2019 Cyclone Season, time to prepare your vessels, yourself and moorings!
The following is Curly's brief collective summary of Weather after reviewing all or part of the following;-
.Fiji Met Forecasts, Sopac, GFS gribs ,,MetVuw, ZY Gribs; US Navy –Pearl Harbor and other sources for
the area of Savusavu –Fiji Islands, do not complain to the messenger

1] Marine Weather Forecast;
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 4:12am on Sunday the 16th of December 2018 Situation: A weak trough of low pressure with cloud and showers remains slow moving over Fiji. Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters: Northwest to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate to rough seas. Moderate to southeast swells. Further outlook: Northwest to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate to rough seas. Moderate southeast swells. 2] Fiji Met's Public Savusavu Bulletin; Savusavu Today;- Occasional showers and a few thunderstorms
Savusavu tomorrow;-Some showers especially in the afternoon
/evening 3] Savusavu Area Gribs ( Metvuw/zy Gribs ) for next 4 days Sun 16 Dec 2018 10 SSE/SW fine , Overnight 10 NNW/NW fine.

4] Grib files out 10 days looking for Lows/bad weather that
will effect Savusavu ;-Now we all know Gribs over 4 days are alittle
suspect but Gribs do often indicate possible bad weather, there does
not appear to be any real troublesome weather BUT it appears we
may have a Wet Xmas Eve and Christmas day, from Thurs 20Fri 21
Dec winds 10 ,and fine, Sat 22 and Sun 23 Dec 15 Knots showers,
Mon24 and Tues 25 hvy-showers/showers-fingers crossed that
weather will improve!!!!
5] Tropical Cyclone Watch; There does not appear to be any
Intense Tropical Lows nor Cyclonic activity that will effect Savsavu,out
10 days
7] Savusavu Tides;
