5:30am on Thursday the 9th of July 2020
A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR KADAVU
AND VATU-I-RA PASSAGE.
Situation: A trough of low pressure remains slow moving to the
west of Fiji. Associated cloud and showers affects the group.
Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters: East to southeast
winds 15 to 20 knots. Winds increasing through the passages
from later today. Moderate to rough seas.
Further outlook: For Kadavu and Vatu-i-ra passage, Koro sea
and Southern Lau waters: Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough
seas.
For rest of Fiji waters: East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots.
Moderate to rough seas.
