Situation:
A high pressure system to the far south of Fiji directs a southeast
windflow over the group.
Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters:
Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots.
Moderate to rough seas.
Moderate southeast swells. 
Further outlook:  Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots.  Moderate to rough
seas.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL FIJI WATERS.
Situation:
A high pressure system to the far south of Fiji directs a strong
southeast wind flow over the group.
Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters:
Southeast winds 20 to 30 knots.
Rough to very rough seas.
Moderate to heavy southeast swells. 
Further outlook:  Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots.  Moderate to rough

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR ALL FIJI WATERS.
Situation:
Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain
remains slow moving over the group. 
Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters:
FOR SOUTHERN LAU, KORO SEAS, SOUTHWEST VITI LEVU, KADAVU AND
VATU-I-RA PASSAGE: 
East to southeast winds 20 to 30 knots, gusting to 35 knots.
Rough to very rough seas. 
Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Further outlook:  Easterly winds 20 to 25 knots.  Rough seas. 
For the rest of Fiji Waters:
Easterly wind 20 to 25 knots. Winds turning and becoming
northeasterly tomorrow.
Rough seas.  
Poor visibility in areas of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
 
Further outlook:   East to northeast winds 20 to 25 knots.  Rough

 SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER SEVEN ON HEAVY RAIN ISSUED  FROM RSMC NADI AT 0400AM ON TUESDAY 23RD APRIL 2017. 
 
HEAVY RAIN WARNING
 
A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR KADAVU, EASTERN PARTS   OF VITI LEVU, EASTERN PARTS OF VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY   SMALLER ISLANDS, LOMAIVITI AND SOUTHERN LAU GROUP.
 
A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI.
 
SITUATION:
 
A SHALLOW LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM LIES SLOW MOVING JUST TO THE SOUTHWEST   OF VITI LEVU. IT IS EXPECTED TO MOVE OVER THE SOUTHERN PARTS OF FIJI   AND EXIT THE SOUTHERN LAU WATERS BY LATER TODAY. ASSOCIATED ACTIVE  TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WITH RAIN AND STRONG WINDS CONTINUES TO AFFECT   FIJI. IT IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE GROUP TILL LATER TODAY.
 
FOR KADAVU, THE EASTERN PARTS OF VITI LEVU, EASTERN PARTS OF VANUA LEVU,   TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LOMAIVITI AND SOUTHERN LAU GROUP:
PERIODS OF RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
LOCALISED HEAVY RAIN MAY LEAD TO FLOODING IN LOW LYING AREAS.

OCCASIONAL RAIN WITH ISOLATED HEAVY FALLS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
