A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR KADAVU
PASSAGE, KORO SEA, SOUTHERN LAU WATERS, VATU-I-RA
PASSAGE AND SOUTHWEST VITI LEVU WATERS.
Situation: An active trough of low pressure with cloud and
showers lies slow moving over the northern parts of the group
.Meanwhile, a high pressure system to the far south of Fiji
directs a fresh to strong east to southeast wind flow over the
group.
Forecast to midnight tonight for Fiji waters: For Kadavu
Passage, Koro Sea, Southern Lau Waters, Vatu-I-Ra passage
and Southwest Viti Levu Waters: East to southeast winds 20 to
25 knots. Rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
Further outlook: East to southeast winds 20 to 25 knots. Rough
seas. Moderate southerly swells.
For the rest of Fiji waters: East to southeast winds 15 to 20
knots. Moderate to rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
Further Outlook East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots
