A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR SOUTH
WEST VITI LEVU WATERS,YASAWAANDMAMANUCAWATERS,
KADAVU AND VATU-I-RA PASSAGES, KORO SEA AND LAU
WATERS.
Situation: A high pressure system to the southwest of Fiji directs
a fresh to strong southeast wind flow over Fiji waters. Meanwhile,
a trough of low pressure with cloud and showers to the north of
Fiji is expected to drift south and affect the group from tomorrow.
Forecast to 6am tomorrow for Fiji waters: For Southwest Viti Levu
waters, Kadavu and Vatu-i-ra passages, Koro sea and Lau Waters,
Yasawa and Mamnuca waters. Southeast winds 20 to 25 knots.
Rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
Further outlook: East to northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate
to rough seas.
For the rest of Fiji waters: Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots.
Moderate to rough seas. Moderate southerly swells.
Further Outlook: Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Moderate.
